Risk factors / Comorbidities

If comorbidities exist, the guideline suggests considering increasing risk category (e.g., to Category 1) — these are used to adjust very low risk only.

Loss of protective sensation (any foot)

Indicate symptoms and perform monofilament testing. The tool uses monofilament results primarily; if monofilament is not done, reported symptoms are used as suggestive.
